Featuring Anchorage, Seward, Homer, Denali and Wasilla (Ten Day, Nine Alaska Escorted Tour Program. This tour is designed for the visitor that has never been to Alaska or is returning to Alaska to see “up close and personal” the true Alaska people, culture, way of life including exclusive agriculture visits.

Day 1 – Thursday, August 16, 2018 Welcome to Anchorage, Alaska. Arrive at the Anchorage airport from your home city where you will be met by your Premier Alaska Tours representative and transfer to your local hotel.
Overnight in Anchorage; Meals: N/A

Day 2 – Friday, August 17, 2018 Turnagain Arm, Kenai Fjords National Park, Glaciers We depart Anchorage this morning and travel by deluxe motorcoach south along the spectacular Cook Inlet where Captain James Cook had to repeatedly “turn again”, his vessel, in search of the Northwest Passage. Along the way we will want to keep a lookout for beluga whales in the murky waters of Turnagain Arm and Dall sheep grazing high above on the cliffs. Upon our arrival in Seward, our “up close and personal experience with Alaska” continues as we board our vessel and spend the day on the water in Kenai Fjords National Park. We will be on the lookout for the abundant sea life in their natural habitat, nesting sea birds and possible encounters with the Stellar Sea Lions. Our captain will also spend time in front of the Tide Water Glaciers for an opportunity to experience huge chunks of ice breaking away into the water of Resurrection Bay.

Day 3 – Saturday, August 18, 2018 Kenai Cultural Center, Homer, Alaska Breakfast is included this morning. We then board our deluxe motorcoach and travel to the central peninsula to the community of Kenai. Visit the Kenai Cultural Center located in Kenai and see the incredible display of Alaskan artifacts. Continue the journey south and see spectacular scenery like volcanoes on the far side of the Cook Inlet, lush green valleys and an array of wildflowers.

Day 4 – Sunday, August 19, 2018 Harbor Walking Tour, Peony Farm, Homer at your Leisure Fishing is a livelihood for many residents in the Homer area and this morning we will learn about the commercial and/or sports fishing industry with a harbor walking tour and guided by a local fisherman. Homer is also known as “The City of Peonies”. We’ll visit a unique farm that produces and ships these beautiful flowers to all 50 states! The balance of the day is open for optional activities such as a flight-seeing adventure to see the mighty brown bear, sea kayaking in Kachemak Bay, halibut fishing or sightseeing the community. Day 5 – Monday, August 20, 2018 Kenai Peninsula Visitor Center, Alaska Native Heritage Center Breakfast is included this morning. Today, head north to the Kenai Peninsula Visitor Center located in Soldotna and see the world record King salmon on display. Walk down the boardwalk and search for salmon in the Kenai River and learn about the different types of salmon. Lunch is included today. We continue our travel north and perhaps catch a glimpse of caribou or birds that migrate through this region. Upon arrival in in Anchorage we visit the Alaska Native Heritage Center which shares the heritage of Alaska’s 11 major cultural groups. There are local Native American docents on sight to explain their culture and the six outside life-sized Native dwellings. Overnight in Anchorage, Alaska; Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Day 6 – Tuesday, August 21, 2018 Alaska Rail Road, Denali Park This morning we are transferred to the Anchorage Rail Depot to board the Alaska Rail Road for a scenic journey through some of the most beautiful landscapes in the world. Enjoy luxury service on board with access to dome rail observation cars, meal service, outside observation deck and a friendly and helpful rail staff . View the spectacular scenery while enjoying an included lunch in the dining car. Midafternoon we arrive in Denali Park with the balance of the day at our leisure for optional tours such as guided hiking’s, flightseeing, rafting, as well as many others activities our guide will review.

Day 7 – Wednesday, August 22, 2018 Denali National park Tundra Wilderness Tour Breakfast is included this morning. Today, travel deep into Denali National Park on the included Tundra Wilderness Tour looking for grizzly bear, moose, caribou, sheep and other wildlife. Your local naturalist driver/ guide will provide educational enhancements throughout the tour (Includes snack). Overnight in Denali, Alaska; Meals: Breakfast, Snack

Day 8 – Thursday, August 23, 2018 Talkeetna, Iditarod Headquarters, Farm Visit After an included breakfast this morning we depart Denali and travel south on board our scenic deluxe motorcoach. We’ll visit the town of Talkeetna, Alaska, situated at the base of Mt McKinley; it is a major summer starting point for river, hiking and flightseeing adventures. There will be time to explore the shops and maybe hold a husky puppy for photos! Our adventure continues as we travel south through the fertile Matanuska-Susitna Valley to the town of Wasilla, Alaska. Upon arrival, we will visit the Iditarod Headquarters and learn more about this popular winter sport and wilderness endurance race. This evening we enjoy dinner in Wasilla. Overnight in Wasilla, Alaska; Meal; Breakfast, Dinner

Day 9 – Friday, August 24, 2018 Palmer-Alaska State Fair, Musk-Ox Farm, Anchorage A special day is in store for us as we visit a Musk-Ox Farm located near Palmer, Alaska. Learn about the habits and economic importance of these animals to Alaskans. Next we visit the Alaska State Fair also located in Palmer, Alaska. The fair offers the visitor an opportunity to see livestock, giant vegetables and unusual products exclusive to Alaska. Enjoy rides, ethnic foods and lively entertainment only from Alaska!! It is a short drive from Palmer to Anchorage, Alaska’s largest city, and our last overnight stay. Overnight in Anchorage, Alaska; Meals: Breakfast, Additional Meal

Day 10 – Saturday, August 25, 2018 Farewell to Alaska, Welcome Home! After breakfast this morning a short riding tour of Anchorage including some history of the city, the devastating 1964 earthquake and view Lake Hood, the world’s busiest floatplane base. Then we are transferred to the Anchorage Airport for our flight home. “You May Leave Alaska But Alaska Will Never Leave You”! Meals: Breakfast

Cancellation Policy:
• Cancellations received on or before May 1, 2018 will receive a full refund
• Cancellations received after May 1, 2018 and prior to May 15, 2018 will be assessed 50% of the per person tour price
• Cancellations received after May 15, 2018 and prior to June 1, 2018 will be assessed 75% of the per person tour price
• Cancellations received after June 1, 2018 will forfeit the full price of the tour Travel Protection Plan is available and strongly recommended.
Premium is non-refundable unless the entire tour is cancelled.
Any surcharges and/or tax increases received from suppliers for this package (Airlines, Cruise Companies, Hotels, etc.)

Responsibility Clause: Tri-State Travel and JH Travel, in offering this tour, do so only as agents as outlined in this
brochure. Therefore, JH Travel and Tri-State Travel shall not become liable or responsible for any loss, injury or damage
