We are excited and hope you too for this weekend trip that offers a variety of activities all in just two days!
Our destination is historic Galena with a morning stop at Kava House for coffee & scones on the way and then onto Galena! Our hotel accommodation is conveniently located downtown Galena so you can rest, get a massage or shop the rest of the day with just walking a few steps to the hotel! Enjoy the day as we have reservations for an evening meal at Timmerman’s Supper Club where you will have a choice of main entree which includes: 1). Chicken Cordon Bleu with rice 2). Grilled Salmon with baked potato 3). 5 oz Filet Mignon with baked potato. Each meal is served with a salad, rolls and non-alcoholic drink with dessert.
On Sunday we begin the day with Sunday Brunch which is served in the Courtyard Restaurant at the hotel. This brunch offers a wide range of pastries, fruit, meats and we promise you will not leave hungry! Then it is “All Aboard” on the Galena Trolley for an hour ride with a narrated tour displaying the historic district of Galena and learning about the hills & valleys of this beautiful community. Free time will follow before we board the motor coach for our return back to Newton with great memories of our “Galena Getaway”!
Tour includes: motor coach transportation with driver tip, overnight accommodation at De Soto House Hotel, 2 meals (evening meal at Timmerman’s Supper Club & brunch at Courtyard Restaurant), morning break with coffee & scones, narrated tour on Galena Trolley, all taxes & gratuities on the above-mentioned meals & attractions.
