Enjoy the music of the 1950’s & 1960’s? Remember the songs that were playing when you bought your first car or songs that were popular when scooping the loop or were playing when you shared your first kiss? Well, join JH Travel for a trip to remember with all your favorite music!


After our arrival in Branson our evening meal awaits at Mel’s Hard Luck Diner where the waiters/waitresses sing while delivering your meal choice. Our show for the evening is Jersey Nights: Music of Frankie Valli  where we will witness the story of the Four Seasons in this elaborate production style show featuring authentic costumes, first-class musical arrangements, custom sets, and those incomparable hit songs! You’ll enjoy all their best, including My Eyes Adored You, Can’t Take My Eyes Off You, Big Girls Don’t Cry, Oh What a Night, Sherry, Rag Doll and so many more!

60s and 50s tooOur second day begins with a tour of the College of the Ozarks, better known as “the college that works”. A visit to the Ralph Foster Museum before heading back to Branson for lunch. Our afternoon show is #1 Hits of the 60’s & 50’s show which revisits the days of the British Invasion, Motown, California Surfin’ & the Age of Aquarius with over 100 songs!

5.1.-Jackie-B.-Goodes-700x526Evening meal follows at Jackie B Goode’s Uptown Cafe then onto Bee Gees & Beyond, which the original group formed in 1958 and has provided music for many years. An evening dessert stop at Cakes-n-Cream for ice cream or a funnel cake topped with ice cream & strawberries! (Ask Rick how yummy these are!)

 

Our third day begins with an out of this world fudge stop at Country Barn and then onto Doo-wop & Chico Vega’s Drifters (Chico, an original Drifter).  Does “Under the Boardwalk” & “Save the Last Dance for Me” sound familiar? You will also enjoy songs by Etta James, Aretha Franklin and others! Free time follows for lunch & shopping time.  LandrysAn evening meal at Landry’s Seafood House will offer a variety of main entrees before Million Dollar Quartet. Tony Award winning Broadway musical, inspired by the electrifying true story of the famed recording session where Sam Phillips, the “Father of Rock ‘n’ Roll” brought together icons Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins for one unforgettable night – the greatest rock jam session of all time.

Traveling back to Newton on April 24th will conclude our unforgettable tour of “Get Ready to Rock & Roll” with awesome memories of those awesome songs of the 50’s & 60’s!

Tour includes:  motor coach transportation, overnight accommodations at Ozark Regal Hotel, 5 shows & 1 attraction, 6 meals (3 continental breakfasts & 3 dinners), all taxes & gratuities included on the above mentioned items.
