Attention All Gardeners! JH Travel has planned a special one day garden trip visiting Petersen & Tietz Greenhouse, Corner Market Greenhouse and K & K Gardens with an Amish lunch in Oelwein! We are also offering an additional one day garden trip on May 3, 2017 (different greenhouses) – when making reservations be sure to explain which date you are making reservations for.
After a morning snack & restroom break along the way our first stop will be at Petersen & Tietz Greenhouse in Waterloo. This is family owned and has been in business for 82 years. They are known for their specialty plants and offer a wide variety of annuals. Our next greenhouse stop is at Corner Market in Oelwein, also a family owned business. They pride themselves on a large variety of “thriller, spiller & filler” plants and perennials. Hope you bring your appetite as our next stop will be a family style Amish meal! After lunch our final greenhouse stop brings our group to K & K Gardens in Hawkeye owned by a husband & wife, where a display of gardens, perennials, annuals, ornamental trees with garden art await our gardeners!
Just a reminder that a truck & trailer will be accompanying our group to house your purchases (not responsible for loss of plants or breakage of items purchased). Each item must be labeled with a return address label for verification when unloading the trailer – so bring plenty of labels!
This will be a popular trip – so call early to make your reservation! It is so fun to travel along with friends & family to share/swap garden stories! This trip is limited to 32 travelers due to available space!
