Our first garden trip is featuring Mennonite greenhouses located by Ionia & Elma, IA and included is a lunch with a variety of choices at Klunder’s Kafe in New Hampton. (LIMIT OF 25 GARDENERS PER TRIP DUE TO TRAILER CAPACITY).
Muffins & water will be served for a morning snack on our way to Cedar Falls for a restroom break at McDonalds. Our first greenhouse is Windy Ridge Greenhouse where they are known for their perennials, hydrangeas & bedding vegetables. Our next stop will be Hoover Greenhouse where they are known for their large variety of hanging baskets, perennials and garden art. Lunch is next at Klunder’s Kafe where you will have a choice of meals along with dessert (of course!). KR Greenhouse is our next stop which is known for their hanging baskets, succulents, tropical plants & geraniums!
A quick stop for a restroom & evening snack before arriving back to Newton to unload our plants!
Just a reminder that a truck & trailer will be accompanying our group to house your purchases (not responsible for loss of plants or breakage of items purchased.) Each item must be labeled with a return address label for verification when unloading the trailer – so bring plenty of labels! Seriously, bring lots of labels!!!
