Join JH Travel for our third annual “Quilt Shop Hop” trip – there is not another template for this trip! Many a new friendship (quilt) will be made and backgrounds (fabric) will be pieced together! Get ready to sit back, batting and swaps back & forth along the way to quilt shops in Iowa and Minnesota – this is not a mystery (quilt). Just a sampler (quilt) of the itinerary:
Our first stop will be at The Quilted Forest in Forest City, Iowa which was featured in the Fall/Winter Quilt Sample magazine and which has their own pattern line entitled “Pieced Tree Patterns” located in a former opera house & clothing store. A morning snack will be served enroute to our first stop.
Minnesota bound! Calico Hutch Quilt Shop in Hayward, MN which is a large shop that houses over 350 quilt samples & kits! Lunch will be delivered before departing onto Mankato, MN to visit Firefly Quilt Shop and River City Quilts which has a variety of Minnesota themed outdoor fabric. In Windom, MN we will visit Prairie Quilting and then onto Worthington, MN to Crafty Corner which has 9,831 bolts of material! WOW! This shop has the largest selection of fabric in the area and we are sure you will find just what you are looking for! Pizza will be delivered to the coach before departing to our last quilt shop which is Old Alley Quilt Shop in Sherburn, MN which promises a wide variety of fabric!
Everyone is asked to bring a current project along or a completed one or if you attended the “Quilt Shop Hop 2012” please bring along a finished project that was purchased on the trip to share with everyone! Bring along as many items as you would like
Wow! This is truly a “Quilt Shop Hop” trip – so don’t miss this patch (quilt)! A short patchwork synopsis for each stop will be given on October 24th. Each quilt shop will provide a short program on a quilting or sewing project during our visit! Be sure to contact your friends and bring along your fusible quilting groups! This trip will be binding many new friends together and charm (quilts) will be abundant. Don’t be a crazy patch and miss the trip! Sandwich our fun, talk about UFO’s in your sewing rooms and bring some coins, but no funny money like fat quarters, penny squares or charms! Let this trip be a great memory (quilt)!
