Day # 1 Sunday July 14, 2024

Welcome aboard as we depart Newton, Iowa, and travel through Illinois, and a portion of

Indiana on our way to Holland Michigan for our first overnight stay. This evening enjoy a

Day # 2 Monday July 15, 2024

This morning, we arrive in Detroit Michigan for an exciting and unique, Narrated River Cruise while enjoying lunch with views of the Detroit & Windsor Ontario skylines. Following our cruise, we have a Guided Tour of the Motor City to learn the rich automotive history and amazing architecture. We then travel to Troy, Michigan and our hotel for the next two nights. Enjoy a managers’ Kick-Back-Reception with a variety of foods and beverages included! (BL, Kick-Back-Reception)

Day # 3 Tuesday July 16, 2024

Rise and shine! Enjoy breakfast before our mystery tour continues. This morning we’ll visit “The Parade Company” for a guided tour of these amazing studios that create and maintain the Thanksgiving Day parade floats in a 200,000 square foot facility. Next, we visit the Pewabic Pottery Company, listed as a National Historic Landmark, Pewabic is one of the oldest continually operating potteries in the country. This active working pottery, architectural tile studio, ceramic arts education center is vibrant cultural destination that attracts visitors from around the world. Later we are invited as guests and dinner at the Edsel & Elanor Ford House & Gardens. Edsel Ford was the son of Henry Ford and president of Ford Motor Company. (BD) OVN Drury Inn Troy, MI

Day # 4 Wednesday July 17, 2024

After breakfast we check out of our hotel and travel to Rochester Michigan for a behind the scenes tour & lunch at Meadow Brook Hall, A National Historic Landmark and one of the finest examples of Tudor-revival architecture in America. The home was built by one of the automotive aristocracy’s most remarkable women, Matilda Dodge Wilson, widow of automotive pioneer John Dodge. Next, we visit the Motown Museum. The tour is led by knowledgeable guides who will share the interesting history, fascinating anecdotes, and captivating stories that all took place in“Hitsville U.S.A.” Our final tour of the day will be the Ford Piquette Avenue Plant, a non-profit corporation dedicated to the preservation of the birthplace of the Model T and the interpretation and celebration of Detroit’s

automotive heritage and spirit of innovation. Tonight, we have dinner at the Polish Village Café that was featured on Diners, Drive-Inns and Dives! Travel to Ann Arbor, MI.
