Travel through the famed Panama Canal from the Pacific Ocean to the Gulf of Mexico. Sail aboard Holland America’s ms Maasdam from San Diego, California to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

Day 1 – Monday, March 14, 2016 San Diego, CA

Transfer to the Des Moines Airport early this morning for the flight to San Diego and a pre-cruise overnight. Transfer to your hotel with the remainder of the afternoon and evening at your leisure.

Day 2 – Tuesday, March 15, 2016 – Cruise Departs

Relax this morning at the hotel or do some touring on your own in San Diego. This afternoon, transfer to the port and board the ms Maasdam for the start of your cruise. After checking into your cabin you can explore the ship as it sails from San Diego. All meals on board, beginning with dinner tonight and ending with breakfast on the final day of the cruise, are included. (D)

Days 3 & 4 – Wednesday, March 16 & Thursday, 17, 2016 – Cruising the Pacific

For the next two days you can get better acquainted with your ship and enjoy the activities on-board as you cruise southward along the Baja Coast of Mexico. Don’t forget the wonderful dining options including the midnight buffet. (B,L,D)

Day 5 – Friday, March 18, 2016 – Puerto Vallarta, MX

Your ship docks in the Mexican port of Puerto Vallarta this morning. After enjoying breakfast onboard, you can depart for an exploration of this very popular Mexican Beach resort. Your ship sails later this afternoon. (B,L,D)

Day 6 – Saturday, March 19, 2016 – At Sea

This will be another day of sailing on the ms Maasdam, traveling farther south along the Mexican Coast. There will be plenty to do onboard, so enjoy! (B,L,D)

Day 7 – Sunday, March 20, 2016 – Huatalco, MX

The Sierra Madre Mountains meet the coast here providing some of Mexico’s most lovely scenery. After visiting Huatalco, your ship sails early this afternoon. (B,L,D)

Day 8 – Monday, March 21, 2016 – Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala

The ship docks in Guatemala’s largest port city for a full day of adventure and touring. That might include a number of nature themed tours or maybe a zip line adventure. You sail early this evening. (B,L,D)

Days 9 & 10 – Tuesday, March 22 & Wednesday, March 23, 2016 – At Sea

After two full days of touring, you can now relax and enjoy the amenities of the ship as you sail toward your encounter with the Panama Canal. Enjoy a visit to the onboard spa, lounge around the pools and take in a stage show or try your luck at the casino during the evening. It is All Good! (B,L,D)

Day 11 – Thursday, March 24, 2016 – Panama Canal

This is the day most of you have been waiting for, the day you cruise through the famed Panama Canal, entering on the Pacific Ocean side and exiting into the Gulf of Mexico. We hope you enjoy this once in a lifetime experience. (B,L,D)

Day 12 – Friday, March 25, 2016 – Cartagena, Columbia

Located on the northern coast of South America, Cartagena is the undisputed queen of the Caribbean Coast, a fairy-tale city of romance, legends and superbly preserved beauty. You will have a full afternoon to explore. (B,L,D)

Days 13 & 14 – Saturday, March 26 & Sunday, March 27, 2016 – Sailing the Gulf of Mexico

If you haven’t already taken advantage of some of the activities on the ship, maybe these two days are exactly what you need. Maybe it is a cooking class, dance lessons or seeing a movie in the theatre. Whatever you have in mind, we are pretty sure you can find it on the ms Maasdam. (B,L,D)

Day 15 – Monday, March 28, 2016 – Half Moon Cay

Today you have the pleasure of visiting Holland America’s own private Island, Half Moon Cay. This is a day to play and unwind with activities ranging from horseback riding to sailing, to flying
a kite, swimming in the clear blue waters or maybe just relaxing on the beach in your personal cabana. Did we mention there is a beach barbecue included? You re-board the ship mid-afternoon
and sail for Ft. Lauderdale. (B,L,D)

Day 16 – Tuesday, March 29, 2016 – Ft. Lauderdale & Home

Your ship docks in Ft. Lauderdale early this morning. After breakfast you disembark the ship and then proceed through Customs and Immigration. A transfer from the dock to the airport is included prior to your flight home, arriving early this evening. (B)

Payment/Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • $1,100.00 per person deposit due with reservation
  • Balance of payment due on or before December 1, 2015
  • Cancellations received on or before December 1, 2015 will receive a full refund
  • Cancellations received after December 1, 2015 and prior to January 1, 2016 will be assessed $900.00 per person
  • Cancellations received after January 1, 2016 and prior to February 1, 2016 will be assessed 50% of the per person tour price
  • Cancellations received after February 1, 2016 will forfeit the entire tour price

Travel Protection Plan is available and strongly recommended.
Premium is non-refundable unless the entire tour is cancelled.
Any surcharges and/or tax increases received from suppliers for
this package (Airlines, Cruise Companies, Hotels, etc.) may result
in an increase in the per person price of your tour package. For
those individuals who have purchased the Travel Protection Plan,
this may also result in an increase in your Travel Protection Plan
premium.
*Tri-State Travel reserves the right to change any arrangements listed in this itinerary. Should conditions necessitate changes:
substitution of equal value or cancellations of the arrangements may occur.
