Our second garden trip is featuring Amish & non-Amish greenhouses in southern Iowa & Missouri. (LIMIT OF 25 GARDENERS PER TRIP DUE TO TRAILER CAPACITY).
Our day will begin with a stop at Necessities Mercantile in Eldon, Iowa for morning coffee & quiche before visiting Ostrander Flowers & Greenhouse which has 12 greenhouses to shop in. We then travel onto Lancaster, MO to visit Lilac Hill Greenhouse and they are hosting our lunch as well! Lilac Hill Greenhouse has a wide variety of perennials, unique plants that other greenhouses don’t carry – sounds like our kind of place! Traveling to Bloomfield, Iowa we visit MJ Countryscapes, a relatively new business that houses annuals, offers home type gifts & garden decor before traveling onto Gingerich Greenhouse (we visited last year – now with new owners)!
Included in this trip is: motor coach transportation, driver tip, truck & trailer to house your purchases (not responsible for loss of plants or breakage of items purchased) breakfast stop, lunch at Lilac Hill Greenhouse & evening meal at the Red Shed!
Each item must be labeled with a return address label for verification when unloading the trailer – so bring plenty of labels! Seriously, bring lots of labels!!!
