This special holiday trip begins with a visit to Terrace Hill for tea and lunch with First Lady Chris Branstad (upon availability). Terrace Hill is the official home of Iowa’s governor and his family which will be beautifully decorated for the holiday season. Enjoy the many Christmas trees throughout the seating areas, sweeping garland and decorations that make this a wonderful time to visit! Everyone will be served an elegant lunch followed by dessert. This is truly a wonderful experience that is followed by a program at the Carriage House (not yet determined). After some free time looking at the displays and gift shop we will travel to Cache Bakery in Clive, Iowa. Humm. . . upon our arrival the “yummy” smell of fresh baked cakes and desserts will greet us at the door! A tour of the bakery will be first followed by a demonstration from start-to-finish on bite size desserts followed by some very serious taste testing. Learn what is new in the dessert world and bring along some questions!
This trip is always a holiday favorite and we have only 38 reservations and already have several ladies signed up – so don’t wait too long before you call for a reservation!
